End User Tools & Performance Management Application
Reporting – Ad-Hoc Reporting
- Reporting (Enterprise & Managed)
- Upgrade reports developed in Reporting Services 2005 (RS2005) to Reporting Services (RS2008) (If backend application/database is being upgraded to SS2005 from an older version, any reports that were developed in the old version need to also be upgraded/redeveloped)
- Convert Reports in other non-Microsoft tools (such as Crystal, Business Objects, Microstrategy) into RS2008
- Take existing reports and consolidate into a more user-friendly and development friendly format.
- Significantly reduce the total number and complexity of reports and the need to constantly develop new reports by the use of BI reporting techniques
- Make existing reports that are only available to users on the internal LAN available to remote users that can’t directly log on to the corporate network
- Add notification/alerting to reports so users are immediately aware when critical events occur
- If implementing Microsoft Dynamics (CRM, AX, NV, etc), develop additional custom reports.
- Ad-Hoc Query & End-User Reporting
- Enable end users to create their own reports via Reporting Services (Report Builder) instead of requiring a IT developer to develop reports
- For organizations currently using Crystal Reports (or other non-Microsoft reporting tools) that were bundled with other tools purchased in the past – help migrate the same features and functions using the “free” tools in Microsoft SS2005 & SS2008
- For companies that rely on Excel and/or Access for reporting, help build better reporting capabilities with other Microsoft tools they also have such as RS2005, RS2008 and AS2005, AS2008
- Implement reports using Analysis Services 2005 & 2008 (AS2005 & AS2008) to reduce the number of current reports developed using the “traditional” approached (Reporting Services, Excel, Access, and non-Microsoft tools such as Crystal ) and provide end-users with significantly better ad-hoc reporting capabilities
- Extend the current usage of Excel for Reporting by integrating with SharePoint and AS2005
