The outcome of the Readiness Assessment is to provide the customer a road-map of BI, where they are on the BI Continuum and the steps to take to get to their long-term destination both with the “technology” and the methodologies/best practices. The readiness assessment also positions BI in terms of helping the company reduce costs as they pertain to both the current reporting and analysis processes as well as using the information from BI to reduce overall business costs, run the company more efficiently, as well as aligning strategy with day-to-day execution.  The assessment will also help identify areas that can get immediate benefits (and ROI) from a structured approach to Business Intelligence as well as to help establish a long term road-map of how to create the internal infrastructure to become BI self-sufficient.
